Liyuan CMC is a core additive in the manufacturing of water-based lithium battery anodes, usually used in conjunction with SBR latex. It is widely adopted for power and energy storage batteries.
CMC disperses and thickens slurry to prevent powder agglomeration and sedimentation, enabling uniform coating and improved production efficiency. Paired with elastic SBR latex, it bonds active materials and cushions the volume expansion of active materials during recharge cycles to avoid powder shedding and the cracking of electrodes.
As CMC suppresses side reactions within anodes and slows the growth of internal resistance within the battery, the battery cycle life is extended. The CMC solution has proven to be both eco-friendly and cost-effective for anode production.
