CMC serves two key functions in mining and mineral processing: pelletization bonding and flotation optimization.
In ore pelletization, CMC acts as an essential bonding material for pellet production to improve the comprehensive physical properties of pellets that are wet, dry or roasted. Due to CMC’s excellent adhesion and pellet-forming performance, it greatly improves the bursting resistance, compressive strength and drop strength of green pellets under both wet and dry conditions, ultimately improving the overall quality and utilization rate of finished ore pellets.
In mineral flotation processes, CMC works as an efficient slime depressant to greatly reduce separation interference caused by gangue slimes. It can also selectively inhibit lead minerals during copper-lead separation, significantly improving mineral processing efficiency.
